CharityCheckout drops platform fee to 0% for charities

Personalised and branded fundraising technology provider CharityCheckout has dropped its 5% platform fee on donations, resulting in reduced costs and millions of pounds in potential savings for clients. The move follows CharityCheckout’s research into market trends and a survey of 1,448 of its charity clients in June to identify how they felt about platform fees. The results revealed support for a range of fee models with the most popular being a voluntary contribution approach. A recent report ‘The Future of Online Giving’ found that eighty-nine percent of donors said they would prefer to donate via a charity's own website rather than via a third party fundraising platform. 57% of donors likely to ask charities to delete their personal data once GDPR comes into force

The online fundraising tech company, Charity Checkout, commissioned Maru/Usurv to carry out a survey of 1,000 members of the public and discovered that 57% of people are likely to ask a charity to delete all the personal information that they have on them after May 25th.
